Victoria Calderon

Victoria is a Venezuelan-American entrepreneur, speaker, published author and marketing professional with over 10 years of experience. Her family immigrated to the U.S. when she was 6 years old. She went to school in Ohio and majored in Marketing at Franklin University. She has worked in the media, corporate, non-profit and small business sectors. In 2014, she co-founded AVANZA Business Solutions, a multicultural marketing firm. Along with her sister and business partner, they established AVANZA’s headquarters inside their second venture, Bottoms Up Coffee Co-op located in Columbus, Ohio. Bottoms Up is a coffee shop and coworking space with a social justice mission to reduce infant mortality. It was sold in 2017, when both sisters moved away to pursue other ventures, but it is still operating for this cause.

Victoria’s personal mission is to be an advocate for women, children and small business owners while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. By channeling her passion for strategic communications, she’s been able to grow deep roots in Central Ohio, East Texas and nationwide to add value to all of the organizations and individuals she interacts with. She has won numerous awards for marketing, entrepreneurship and community development. She was most recently nominated for the ETX Magazine 2022 40 under Forty Award. She has received national recognition for her bilingual safe sleep baby book called “Welcome Home My Little One/Bienvenido a Casa Mi Chiquito.” She has also published “My Prayer Journal: For Women. A 21-day Guide to Create a Habit” in English and “Mi Diario de Oracion: Para Mujeres. Una Guia de 21 Dias Para Crear un Habito” in Spanish. The books are available on Amazon. She is the host and executive producer for the ETX Spanish community affairs show “La Vida TV” on Telemundo local channel 7. She also produces her own online show at home featuring her diverse home cooking and other homemade goods called “En Casa Con Victoria Calderón”. She currently volunteers for various non-profit organizations in Tyler, Texas and is a member of the Tyler Young Professionals. Victoria currently calls East Texas home with her loving husband and 2 young children. She attends Grace Español church and frequently hosts women’s bible studies in her home.
